This is a new lot of 2 (Two) 20W Murata DC to DC Triple Output Isolated Power ConvertersNOTE: These units lose load regulation with low impedance loads (Z<20K Ohms) on the 15-Volt (aux) outputs. THE 5 VOLT OUTPUT (Primary output) HAS LOAD REGULATION THAT IS WITHIN SPECIFICATION, REGARDLESS OF LOAD IMPEDANCE. Line regulation is unaffected. Therefore, these units are being heavily discounted, as they are $125.50 EACH at most distributors. These units did not! have their stickers affixed to them at the factory; thus, they were sent to an R2 facility for further processing. We acquired them at auction and have determined that they are the TWR-5/3000-15/500-D12A-C variant, which means they put out 5 Volts DC, and plus/minus 15 Volts DC with any +9Vdc to +30Vdc source. Due to the missing stickers, they are being sold at a discount. Our tests have shown them to deliver consistently above the 15Vdc; almost every one showed a potential difference of exactly 15.911Vdc from a calibrated Fluke. Current was in-line, except where input voltage fell lower than 10 Volts (at which point the current dropped off in a linear fashion). Each unit’s primary +5V output can source any current up to 3 Amps (primary power = 15W); while its auxiliary ±15Vdc (+/- 3% or +/- 0.45Vdc) outputs can source currents up to ±500mA. Devices deliver any combination of primary plus auxiliary power as long as the total output power does not exceed 20 Watts. This feature enables designers to select a single device to fulfill any number of different requirements. As members of MPS’s new A-Series, the 20W triples exhibit both low cost and outstanding long-term reliability. Their design combines straightforward circuit topologies, the newest components, proven SMT-on-pcb construction methods, and highly repeatable automatic-assembly techniques. Their superior durability is substantiated by a rigorous in-house qualification program that includes HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing). Each device has a +5V primary output and ±15Vdc auxiliary outputs. “D12A” models achieve fully rated performance with inputs ranging from 9 to 36 Volts. These full-featured triples have non-latching output current limiting, input overvoltage shutdown, input reverse-polarity protection, and output overvoltage clamping to protect both the power converters and their loads.Pin Assignment:Pins Signals1: +Vin2: -Vin4: On/Off Control (explained below, Note 2)5: +15Vdc Output6: +5Vdc Output7: Common8: -15Vdc OutputNOTE 1: There is no Pin 3...NOTE 2: The On/Off Control pin (pin 4) is used for remote on/off operation.
